Earth mode: the selected field is displayed on a spherical Earth,
which can be rotated about a vertical axis or animated using the loop control buttons.
Use the mouse to tilt (drag), zoom (Shift-drag or scroll wheel), or move (Ctrl-drag)
the Earth.
Chart mode: the spherical Earth shrinks to a small white sphere after clicking
the Chart mode button. The white sphere can be moved to select a geographic location -
hold down the Ctrl key and drag the sphere with the left mouse button. The annual cycle
of the selected field at that location is displayed on the chart.
To change the field select one from the pull-down menu, then click the
Change button.
